 Rod has over 14 years of mortgage origination and consultation experience.  He is an expert in home purchase and re-finance lending.

Rod has a B.A. degree from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.  He is licensed to originate loans in Minnesota and Illinois.  As the Principal of The Burriss Group, his primary objective is to support home buyers and Realtors in achieving their real estate objectives through reliable financial guidance. 
 
Rod presents mortgage market information at various seminars and private functions throughout the Twin Cities area:  
 
Specialties include:  First Time Home-Buyers, Celebrity/Public Figures, University/Students, and Real Estate Investments.
 
Philanthropic activities include the “Northland 300” annual snowmobile trek, benefitting the Minnesota Special Olympics; and the Susan G. Komen “The 3-Day” annual fundraising event.
 
Rod is a member and past Vice President of the Mound chapter of Business Networking International (BNI).
 
Rod has lived in the Lake Minnetonka area in the western suburbs of the Twin Cities for 41 years.  He and his wife Cathy have 2 children.
